‘Soft skills’ refers to our character traits; how we interact with others, approach tasks and respond to scenarios within our daily lives. These skills are not restricted to a specific occupation or job role but are transferable skills that are developed over time with experience and self-awareness.
When you look at any job advert, you will see a list of qualifications that includes not only the technical skills you need for the job but also qualities such as “excellent communication”, “organisation” or “team player” listed.
